Zion Williamson has been 1 of the more exciting young players for years pretty much since the 8th grade. With Williamson showcasing his once in a generation skills at Duke this season where he basically steals the show every game on a team with 4 of the top high school recruits playing together in Williamson, guards RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish and Tre Jones.  So it’s safe to assume Williamson will enter and be the top pick in the upcoming 2019 NBA draft which opens the debate of where Zion Williamson will best fit in the NBA? Here are some possible and realistic places I think Williamson will flourish and lead a franchise.

 The Atlanta Hawks is the 1st possible destination for Zion Williamson if the lottery ping pong balls bounce the hawks’ way. The hawks are clearly doing a youthful rebuild with rookie point guard Trae Young and 2nd year forward John Collins. If you add Williamson to that duo along young sharpshooter Kevin Huerter the hawks’ future looks quite bright and promising for the ascension to be possible contenders in the eastern conference.

 The next team that could be a great fit for Zion Williamson is the Memphis Grizzlies. With some current buzz going around about the Grizzlies open to trading team leaders guard Mike Conley and center Marc Gasol after a disappointing season so far this season could the Grizzlies to the lottery. The possibility of a rebuild with Williamson and breakout rookie star Jaren Jackson Jr as the building blocks could make the Grizzlies dangerous in a deep western conference as well as make Memphis a destination for future free agents as well.

My final place that Zion Williamson can go could be great for Williamson, that city and the NBA; the New York Knicks yes the Knicks! If the Knicks win the lottery and draft Williamson could ensure a lot of possibilities, from resigning current franchise player Kristaps Porzingis as well as potentially luring next summer’s top free agents in guard Kyrie Irving and/or forward Kevin Durant would lead to a return to prominence in the big apple at the world’s greatest arena.

Regardless wherever Zion Williamson is drafted this June he will instantly change that team’s fortune for the better and lead that team into a hopefully bright future as well as become the superstar we all hope he becomes.
