Round one of the playoffs is over and there are some interesting things that came from losses so I will go over some stuff that could or hopefully will happen this offseason for certain teams in need of some change.

Atlanta Hawks: Despite a last season surge to make the playoffs the Hawks took steps back this season and it showed against a tough Miami Heat team that exposed their flaws. For starters it may be time for a coaching change as current coach Nate McMillian has potentially lost the team and more importantly lead star Trae Young this season despite his all-NBA efforts. So, what does Atlanta do this summer? Expect the Hawks to investigate Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert to update their center position or do a 2 or 3 for one trade to get another quality player to go along side Young and John Collins.

New Orleans Pelicans: Now I am normally down on most things New Orleans, but the Pelicans impressed me and the country with their efforts against the Suns leaving a ton of promise and potential for this team. The big question is will Zion Williamson fit in and take this team to the next level? That is something to look at during the offseason for the sky is the limit in NOLA with Williamson, Ingram, and McCollum.

Utah Jazz: Quite possibly the most toxic and disappointing situation of these playoff teams is the Utah Jazz who once again came extremely short of any expectations. This playoff exit leaves the Jazz with no other option but to blow this roster up and anew, expect star players Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell to be on the market for the most intriguing and dynamic trade package possible but I expect and hope that Mitchell stays in Utah and they retool the rest of the roster to be more centric around Mitchell and new chapter in Utah starts.

Brooklyn Nets: Finally, is the absolute mess in Brooklyn where the Nets are in quite the predicament this summer. Will Ben Simmons finally play for the Nets? Does Steve Nash keep his job? And finally, what to do with Kyrie Irving? Well, I will begin there with the Kyrie Irving situation that honestly is pivotal to the Nets going forward. I feel and extremely hope the Nets do not give Irving the max deal with extreme provisions to make him PLAY GAMES TO EARN HIS MONEY or do a year-to-year situation to keep him accountable.

Now I believe Steve Nash will remain as coach if he chooses to so that leads me to Ben Simmons, who simply flaked this season out for everything from a bad back to mental health issues to mental health issues triggering his back problems. Expect an intense meeting with the Nets, Simmons, and his management to get down to what is going on with Simmons and will he be a Net next season. Hopefully, Simmons finds his way and returns to basketball providing his team with a game changing caliber talent to assist Kevin Durant on the way to hopeful deep playoff run.
