The pyramid series continues with shooting guards and here it is.
Tier 1: Best in the League
Luka Doncic: The best shooting guard or guard in the game is Luka Doncic who entering his third year has taken the league by storm and could potentially win the MVP this season if his play continues to elevate the Dallas Mavericks to major playoff contention this season.
James Harden: Before this season James Harden held this tier by himself for the last few years and still is frankly but expectations are a little higher now that he is in Brooklyn along side Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Klay Thompson: Despite missing these next 2 seasons to injury, Thompson is still one of the best 2 guards in the NBA and when he returns to the Warriors, they will be immediate contenders in the western conference because of Thompson’s presence along side Stephen Curry when both are healthy.
Tier 2: All-Stars
Donovan Mitchell: Utah Jazz mega guard Donovan Mitchell has exploded on to the scene from day 1 and his play in the bubble only elevated his game to superstar heights, this season could be more exciting than last season if the Jazz do not hold him back from his potential to lead them to contention in the west.

Paul George (LA Clippers)
Devin Booker: Now I am not the biggest Devin Booker guy book this season is legitimately a prove it or lose it season for the young Suns star who now has the chance to be a serious playoff contending team with Chris Paul and DeAndre Ayton at his side.

Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls)
CJ McCollum: Damian Lillard’s Backcourt sidekick CJ McCollum quietly has lighting up the NBA throughout the years and this season looks to be the breakout season for McCollum who will no longer be quiet or a secret anymore proving Portland’s backcourt duo is the best in league hands down.

Jaylen Brown: Speaking of parts of a duo entering their own the Celtic duo of Tatum & Brown is deadly but Jaylen Brown coming into his own groove means this tandem will go on for long in Boston for great success in Celtic Nation for the dynamic perimeter combo.

Tier 3: Stars
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Probably the one with the hugest upside in this pyramid is Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who is simply limitless! Despite being apart of a rebuilding protect in OKC, SGA is the centerpiece of the project and the future looks bright if you are still a fan of the Thunder.

Fred VanVleet (Toronto Raptors)
Marcus Smart: Another part of the Celtics future to compliment the Brown/Tatum duo the gritty and tough Marcus Smart off the bench. Smart is unquestionably the backbone, heart, and soul of that team with his passion and toughness.

Victor Oladipo (Houston Rockets)
Jrue Holiday: Holiday has flown under the radar for too long, but he will not anymore now that he is in Milwaukee to help Giannis win a title. Holiday’s versatility, leadership and defense should be enough to help Giannis and the Bucks reach the finals.

Caris LeVert
Josh Richardson
Lou Williams
RJ Barrett
Tier 4: Good
Eric Gordon: With all the chaos going on in Houston Eric Gordon remained the constant professional, Gordon still producing good offense and will under new coach Stephen Silas.

Spencer Dinwiddie (Brooklyn Nets)
Evan Fournier (Orlando Magic)
Bogdan Bogdanovic (Atlanta Hawks)
Colin Sexton: One of the few bright spots of the Cleveland Cavaliers is Colin Sexton who can be an offensive explosion at times and should be a leader coming into this season for this rebuilding Cavs team going forward.

Buddy Hield (Sacramento Kings)
Terry Rozier III (Charlotte Hornets)
Tier 5: Role Players
Seth Curry: Often known as the “Other Curry” Seth Curry is the spot up sharpshooter who can help many contending teams and hopefully will help the 76ers get past the first round of the playoffs this season and give some relief to Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and coach Doc Rivers.

Dillion Brooks (Memphis Grizzlies)
Gary Harris Jr (Denver Nuggets)
J.J. Redick (New Orleans Pelicans)
