Well my original post was going to be possible free agent destinations that included Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant but with news breakings that they both will sign with the Brooklyn Nets along with center DeAndre Jordan and other signings. So here are my possible destinations for some of the free agents this summer.
Al Horford: Center Al Horford could be a major pick up for possible title contenders along with up and coming teams. After opting out of Boston Horford has a market that will appreciate him. The Dallas Mavericks are a perfect place for him to pair up with young star Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis to make a playoff run next season.

Jimmy Butler: Although I wasn’t a big fan of his approach to leave Minnesota but Butler got out of there and landed in Philadelphia where he had a quality year with some rocky patches. Butler is looking for long term financial security and the opportunity to be the man and Miami is where that will come true. Butler and the Heat has been linked together for a while and Pat Riley finally gets his kind of player in Butler to start a strong rebuild for life after Dwayne Wade.

D’Angelo Russell: With the Nets signing Kyrie Irving means D’Angelo Russell is out of Brooklyn. Russell is now a pivotal piece in free agency with the Suns, Timberwolves, Lakers and possibly Knicks being major targets. The friendship of Karl-Anthony Towns and Russell being strong the Timberwolves will be where Russell lands and create some buzz along with hope in Minnesota.
Terry Rozier: A dark horse signing is point guard Terry Rozier, who wants out of Boston to find his opportunity to flourish. Rozier will have a market and the ideal spot will the Phoenix Suns. The Suns are in desperate need at point guard and Rozier can be a good partner for shooter Devin Booker and young center DeAndre Ayton can give some hope in the desert.
The New York Knicks: The Knicks are once again looking empty handed in free agency with missing out on Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis leads to Knicks grasping at straws at the moment. The Knicks need to get something and that something will be in the form of forward Julius Randle to pair him with rookie R.J. Barrett to give some kind of hope in New York.

Kawhi Leonard: Last but not least especially for a Raptors fan, Kawhi Leonard is the big catch of the summer. With the Lakers and Clippers in hot pursuit of Leonard, Toronto still has a chance to keep him. This may be a bias answer but I feel Leonard will sign a one and one kind of deal and stay in Toronto! With Leonard returning gives the Raptors a chance to repeat as champions and make Leonard the eye of every team’s admiration next summer.
So much is happening so fast but that is beauty of the NBA free agency. This could be an extremely interesting summer where the balance of power can be easily being shifted with a couple major signings and moves over the next week or so.
