When it comes to Markelle Fultz his NBA career so far has been an odyssey to say the least. Highly regarded as the best player out of college after 1 season at Washington University, Fultz was revered to have endless potential and the ability to transition to the NBA game quite well until he suffered a shoulder injury before the 2017-18 season.
The injury would set off a unique adventure for Fultz as he went to see numerous doctors, specialists, trainers to help Fultz with his recovery and his now damaged shot which has led to a debate on whether Fultz’s issues are physical or mental. In my view I feel Fultz’s issues have become more mental than physical and how the 76ers front office, his representation, and Fultz himself have handled this badly which has led to Fultz’s regression and the 76ers lack of faith in him.
Hopefully this isn’t the end to Markelle Fultz career but that this is just a chapter in his road to a comeback and successful NBA career and not be viewed as the biggest bust in NBA history. Hopefully the 76ers trade Foltz to a team where he can just play basketball again and get back to his potential, I feel the Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic and I believe in a good going home story so I think once the Washington Wizards fix there issues can Fultz comes home and flourishes back home in the Maryland/DC area and possibly live up the potential that was once expected of him.
