With the conference finals already underway by the time this post goes up, these two series have started off interesting to say the least. So, I will get right to it and give my conference finals predictions for who will be in the NBA Finals starting June 2nd.
Eastern Conference Finals
#1 Miami Heat vs. #2 Boston Celtics: This series makes me so happy because it is going to be a throwback to 1990s- early 2000s basketball the good ole days (laughs) This match up is going to be and has been physical. With a nail bitter win last night in Boston the Heat are up 2-1 now but did not have their leader Jimmy Butler in the second half, so does this open the door for Boston to steal this series?
It is quite possible, but I am a huge fan of Jimmy Butler and believe as good as the Celtics are they do not have the same insane will that Butler has to lead this Heat back to finals and expect another amazing game from Bam Adebayo as well so I’m taking the Heat to win this series in seven games.
Western Conference Finals
#3 Golden State Warriors vs. #4 Dallas Mavericks: With the biggest upset in recent playoff memory, the Mavs came into this series with a lot of momentum while the Warriors due to inexperience from a young up and coming Memphis Grizzlies made it to the conference finals and so far, have 2-0 lead to start the series off.
But Dallas has been in this position before just look back at last round against the Suns down 0-2 came back and won the series. It’s obvious the Warriors will not have an answer for Luka Doncic who can single handedly take games in a blink of an eye but I know there’s potential for Steph Curry or Klay Thompson vintage game looming, but even with that I’m going with Doncic and company to pull another upset off and beat the Warriors in seven games as well to go to the NBA finals to face the Miami Heat.
The NBA final four has not disappointed us yet and will continue to be phenomenal for this postseason has been one of the better postseasons in a few years and you just got love it.
