By With regular season ending, the playoffs are here, and the play-in games start tomorrow so here are predictions for the 4 play-in playoff games this week.
Game 1 Indiana Pacers vs. Charlotte Hornets: A pleasant surprise is here in this match up, as the young and frisky Charlotte Hornets take on the often-overlooked Indiana Pacers. This game comes to if rookie sensation LaMelo Ball can overcome the great defense of the Pacers, unfortunately the magical run of Ball and the Hornets comes to an end as the Pacers win this game with their defensive leader and DPOY candidate Myles Turner are too much for the young upstart Hornets.
Game 2 Boston Celtics vs. Washington Wizards: This match up is complete toss up, the Celtics are coming in without star Jaylen Brown while the Wizards are coming into this with a little momentum. I am calling for an upset of sorts as the underman Celtics win simply because the Wizards will not have an answer for all-star Jayson Tatum.
Game 3 Memphis Grizzlies vs. San Antonio Spurs: The young and promising Memphis Grizzlies are back in the play-in game and waiting for them is the overachieving Spurs led by savvy star Demar DeRozan. This is the game for Ja Morant to shine and he will as he leads the Grizzlies to victory.
Game 4 Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors: This game is the marquee game of the play-in series. The Lakers find themselves in the play-in game after a disappointing regular season, while the Warriors led by superstar Stephen Curry kept their hopes alive. A Laker loss would be catasthtopic to the defining champion Lakers while a Warriors win would boost their confidence, but I refuse to bet against LeBron James here and will pick the Lakers to win this game and get into the playoffs to defend their title.
