Well, it has been a while since my last entry, but a lot has gone on. The Knicks surged up the Eastern conference to not only make the playoffs but be the 4th best team in the conference, Nikola Jokic took control of the MVP race although Chris Paul has made an impressive argument, LaMelo Ball keep control of Rookie of the Year despite missing time with injury and last but certainly not least but what has happened to the Los Angeles Lakers?! So, let us begin with the revival happening in the New York.
I maybe jumping the gun but the resurrection of the New York Knicks where after years of being a complete laughingstock with head coach Tom Thibodeau, the rise of all-star Julius Randle and a strong bench led by Derrick Rose this Knicks revival has been fun and legitimate for the Knicks fan to look forward to in the future.

When it comes to the awards race the MVP and Rookie of the Year are what have my attention. Nuggets Point Center Nikola Jokic has taken the MVP race over from 76er big man Joel Embiid and has been playing at an incredible level while his sidekick Jamal Murray is out with a season ending knee injury.

The Rookie of the Year race has been down to two young stars in Timberwolves Anthony Edwards and Hornets LaMelo Ball. The race has been back and forth where Edwards had a chance to run away with the award when Ball was sidelined with a wrist injury, but Ball’s play has simply been too impressive, and he has solidified his rookie season and will win the Rookie of the Year award especially clinching a playoff spot for the struggling Hornets.

And now we come to our defending champion LA Lakers, who have been underwhelming for most of this NBA season. With major injuries to their big superstars Anthony Davis and LeBron James the supporting cast has not lived up to expectation as well as Davis performance since his return has not been the best. But even with LeBron James returning it may be too late as they went from the top of the Western conference to the bottom in the play-in game scenario where they may not make the playoffs.

But never bet against James in these situations so expect the Lakers to make the playoffs but repeat as champs looks very grim right now for Laker nation.
