It has been a little bit, but I am back with the Position Pyramids specifically the Power Forward pyramid. Now this was challenging to put together and organize but here is what I came up with for my 2020-2021 Power Forward pyramid.

Tier 1: Best in the League

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks) & Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers):  This was no contest tie for between these 2 mega stars, franchise changing forwards who are and have been setting the standard of play at the 4 position in their representative conferences. Davis & Antetokounmpo are neck and neck as who is the best power forward in basketball even with Anthony Davis just winning the title this past season but Giannis’ dominance night to night keep this an even fight until he either reaches the NBA finals or wins one.

Tier 2: Stars

Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics):  No one’s star power has risen higher and faster than Celtic’s Jayson Tatum who has taken the NBA by storm and does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. As the game’s stretch 4s Tatum continues to ascend as the games overall best players while leading a young Celtic team to promise.

Zion Williamson (New Orleans Pelicans): Probably the most exciting, promising and potentially explosive player in this pyramid Zion Williamson is already a star so nowhere to go but up for the young Pelican franchise centerpiece, the only thing holding Williamson back is his health and potential conditioning issues.

Pascal Siakam (Toronto Raptors): As a Toronto Raptors fan Pascal Siakam gives me plenty of hope for our future especially after winning the title 2 seasons ago, but Siakam must stay out of his own way of success to continue grow and evolve in superstar many know he is capable of being.

Domontas Sabonis (Indiana Pacers): Probably one the most underrated power forwards in the basketball, Domontas Sabonis is throwback double-double machine! Sabonis has been a forward/center on the Pacers along their center Myles Turner but many believe Sabonis is the better on the of the 2 big men and if he were on another team would be utilized better than how he is currently in Indiana but Sabonis is still stud despite his circumstances.

Tier 3: Good

Kevin Love (Cleveland Cavaliers):  Kevin Love is still going strong in a not so positive situation in Cleveland as they yet in another rebuild that he is a part of, but Love can still contribute to a contending team looking for a playoff or title push and still one of the good veteran power forwards in game.

Jaren Jackson Jr (Memphis Grizzlies)

John Collins (Atlanta Hawks): I hate to use puns so much, but John Collins has flown under the radar for a little while, but Collins is one of the many young bright up and coming big men in basketball especially on that exciting young Hawks alongside Trae Young looking to do big things one day in the ATL.

LaMarcus Aldridge (San Antonio Spurs)

Blake Griffin (Detroit Pistons): The ageless wonder himself Blake Griffin still has the goods to produces and contribute to any team he is on. Same as Kevin Love he can be that piece to a team with playoff or potential title aspirations.

Tier 4: Solid

Kristaps Porzingis (Dallas Mavericks):  Porzingis still is the Unicorn playing out of position in my opinion, but the Maverick Unicorn is deadly when he is healthy especially alongside Luka Doncic.

Tobias Harris (Philadelphia 76ers)

Carmelo Anthony (Portland Trailblazers): Another player out of position but found new life is Carmelo Anthony who at the stretch 4 spot in the Portland is becoming a bit of the Carmelo of old offensively and found some shelter defensively guarding power forwards and not today’s small forwards at his age still making him a solid forward.

Danillo Gallanari (Atlanta Hawks)

Christian Wood (Houston Rockets)

Aaron Gordon (Orlando Magic)

Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors)

Marvin Bagley III (Sacramento Kings)

Tier 5: Role Players

Kyle Kuzma (LA Lakers)

Julius Randle (NY Knicks)

Darius Bazley (OKC Thunder)

Marcus Morris (LA Clippers)

Davis Bertans (Washington Wizards)

Myers Leonard (Miami Heat)

Lauri Markknanen (Chicago Bulls)

And Jae Crowder (Phoenix Suns)
