We are finally here with the NBA finals starting tomorrow night, an interesting match up here between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks who both had quick and impressive conference final victories, and here is my prediction for who will be the new champions.

#1 Boston Celtics vs. #5 Dallas Mavericks

This final is going to be seven games as the game of chess when it comes to the match ups will be fun, will this be the Kyrie Irving or Kristaps Porzingis revenge series? Will Porzingis actually be effective if he plays? And will Luka Doncic become the most hated Celtic opponent in recent history?

The health and impact of Kristaps Porzingis seems to be a little bit too important for me and his limited postseason experience and leaves a lot to be concerned about when it comes to the Celtics title chances, while Dallas concern is if P.J. Washington and the other glue guys show up in the series along with how Gafford and Lively challenge Boston’s front court rotation.

As great as the season has been for Boston more specifically Jaylen Brown & Jayson Tatum, but that lack of trust in the big moments remains where the belief in Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving (75% Luka & 25% Kyrie) is stronger to believe. This will come down to game 7 in Boston where this is not the old Boston Garden and Doncic seems to thrive in those situations and destroy that passionate Boston crowd with his performance and why I am going with the Mavericks to win the title in seven games, but Tatum, Brown and company will put up an amazing fight but come up short to Doncic & Irving.

Prediction: Mavericks in seven games #NewChampions

Finals MVP: Luka Doncic
