Last night’s exciting semi-final games in the in-season tournament set up a great match up on Saturday night, the Lakers simply crushed the Pelicans and the Pacers winning in a thrilling comeback. Who will win the NBA Cup? Here is my pick for our inaugural winner of this tournament.
Indiana Pacers vs. Los Angeles Lakers
This is going to be the game that can possibly statement game for the Pacers more specifically all-star guard Tyrese Haliburton who in his few national TV games has not disappointed with his performance, while Lakers are shockingly invested in the first champion of this tournament. History has told us to never bet against LeBron James in this sort of games, but I think the Pacers and Haliburton will make this a major statement game especially with that fast and athletic offense can potentially expose the Lakers for not having enough players to keep with them and James who will certainly be locked in.
The Pacers win this game and our first in-season tournament champion that will pay off later on in the season when the playoffs start with this experience under their belt. Haliburton will step up to the challenge and show he belongs in the superstar conversation by competing with LeBron James while hopefully becoming a household name. Have to admit this tournament was a good thing where hopefully they built off this success going forward and could not ask for a more entertaining match up that will showcase the incredible star power the NBA has right now.
