Continuing with some of my offseason articles today I am going to give my preseason team rankings, award, and finals predictions as well. The team are going to be broken down into six tiers of how their seasons will go (Worst to Top tier) so let us begin with the bottom or the “Brick for Vic” tier.

Brick for Vic Tier

30) Utah Jazz

29) Indiana Pacers (Rough year for Haliburton & Mathurin, a looming fire sale of talent will be a tough watch for Pacer fans)

28) San Antonio Spurs (Even Sochan cannot make this team watchable this season, feel sorry for Pop)

27) Oklahoma City Thunder (No Chet but some guys will be entertaining but another disappointing season in the prairie #FreeSGA)

26) Washington Wizards

On the Rise Tier

25) Charlotte Hornets (When you have LaMelo you have hope)

24) Houston Rockets (Green and company will be sneaky competitive this season)

23) Sacramento Kings

22) Orlando Magic (A Banchero, Wagner and Bol frontline has major potential for something special)

21) Detroit Pistons (Expect a surprise jump in Motown with Cade and Jaden leading the way)

In Limbo Tier

20) Portland Trailblazers (When is Dame’s breaking point?)

19) Chicago Bulls (The Lonzo Ball injury will be pivotal)

18) New York Knicks (A crossroads season for this unlucky franchise)

17) Los Angeles Lakers (Could go really well or go unbelievably bad)

16) Brooklyn Nets (Like the Lakers this season could be great or horrible)

Play-in/Sleeper Tier

15) Dallas Mavericks

14) Atlanta Hawks (The Trae/Dejounte backcourt and what happens with John Collins?)

13) Minnesota Timberwolves (Wait and see with the Twin Towers Combo of Towns & Gobert but will be breakout year for the Ant-Man)

12) Cleveland Cavaliers (May leapfrog this tier but in a loaded Eastern Conference this would not be bad at all)

11) Toronto Raptors (One of the biggest X-Factor teams in the league)

Legitimate Threats Tier

10) Phoenix Suns (Have to see if the drama affects them or not)

9) Miami Heat

8) New Orleans Pelicans (If Zion stays healthy the sky is the limit)

7) Los Angeles Clippers (All depends on Kawhi & PG’s availability this season)

6) Boston Celtics (Slight setback but should be in title contention)

The Top Tier

5) Philadelphia 76ers (Make or break year!)

4) Memphis Grizzlies (The next step in the right direction)

3) Golden State Warriors (Despite being the defending champions this Draymond situation will set this team a little bit back)

2) Denver Nuggets (Hoping Murray and MPJ remain healthy)

1) Milwaukee Bucks (A motivated Giannis is a dangerous Giannis)

Now on to my Award winner and Finals predictions…

MVP: Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks)

Rookie of the Year: Bennedict Mathurin (Indiana Pacers)

Defensive Player of the Year: Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks)

Sixth Man of the Year: Jordan Poole (Golden State Warriors)

Most Improved Player: Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves)

Coach of the Year: Erik Spoelstra (Miami Heat)

Finals Prediction: Bucks vs. Nuggets (Bucks in seven, but Jokic wins Finals MVP in a losing effort)
