With the NBA trade deadline looming the rumor mill is picking up like mad so here are a couple of trade scenarios I have in mind that would shake the NBA landscape and playoff picture a little bit for the second half of the season.
Bradley Beal for Michael Porter Jr: We begin with the 2 biggest names involved in trades period, Washington Wizards Bradley Beal, and Denver Nuggets Michael Porter Jr. There has been talks of this trade happening for a little awhile so why not finally do it here and now, Beal can play some competitive basketball again in the-mile-high city with superstar center Nikola Jokic and star guard Jamal Murray possibly putting them over the top in the West while Washington can start over with an exciting young core group led the long athletic Porter Jr who rising into his stardom and could lead the Wizards into a new direction going forward.

Lonzo Ball and J. J. Redick for Tomas Satoransky and Otto Porter Jr: With the Bulls season almost done and Lonzo Ball’s time coming to abrupt end in the big easy seeing Lonzo in Chicago would be an Ideal fit. So why would not the Pelicans trade Ball and veteran shooter JJ Redick who they hardly play to Chicago in exchange for role playing point guard Tomas Satoransky and 3 & D wing Otto Porter Jr giving the point guard job fully to Eric Bledsoe. The Pelicans gain length, veterans and defense and gain a floor general to set up Zach Lavine, mentor Coby White and sound dependable shooter in Redick sounds like a win-win to me to both team trying to make to splash for the play-in spots this post season.

PJ Tucker for Willie Cauley-Stein: Many experts believe that PJ Tucker should be on a contending team to which I am in agreeance with, but the Nets will not be the destination but the Dallas Mavericks. Tucker and Mavericks will be a solid fit especially being another legitimate enforcer for Luka Doncic along with James Johnson. While on the flip side Willie Cauley-Stein returns to his hometown and give the Rockets a legit 7-footer rim protector to be a part of this team’s rebuild.
