The Lakers ended their season in typical Laker fashion with Magic Johnson stepping down as president of basketball operation of the Los Angeles Lakers after very disappointing season.

Johnson had the position for 2 years which left a lot to be desired by Laker fans. Then yesterday the soap opera continued with the firing of Coach Luke Walton who was expected to be fired during the summer. So the now the question is what is next for the Los Angeles Lakers?
Let’s begin with general manager Rob Pelinka who should get some of blame for this disappointing roster construction and disappointing season. Pelinka is known for being Kobe Bryant’s agent and has a lot to do this summer to turn this around.

Then there’s Jeanie Buss the owner who is now left in a predicament with Johnson’s surprise resignation has Buss searching for a new president of basketball operations and head coach.
One question now has grown rapidly with everything happening and it is where does Kobe Bryant come in to play here? Here are some strong possibilities. With Pelinka in the front office could lead to Bryant returning to the franchise not as a player but in a front office or coaching position.
To be honest I think bringing Bryant back can do wonders for the team, I believe Bryant in the president of basketball operation could be good but him as the head coach is the ideal position.Bryant as a head coach would make the actual team better and challenge LeBron James in ways he hasn’t been before along with preventing a move of nepotism by hiring former Cleveland Cavalier coach and LeBron favorite Tyronn Lue.
There is another choice to put in the president of basketball operations position who maybe considered the greatest Laker of all time Jerry West.West currently works for the rival up and coming Los Angeles Clippers as a consultant but will be free this summer to reunite with the Lakers and revive the franchise if he’s brought back to work with Buss and the front office.
This summer was already going to be interesting for the Lakers but it has just gotten more intriguing for “As the Lake show turns” continues to be dramatic and entertaining but hopefully will be a success.
