By So I wanted to try a new thing, buy or sell on certain topics and I start with one of basketball’s polarizing players. Anthony Davis was a highly valued asset the Lakers wanted, they wanted Davis so bad they mortgaged their future shipping it all to New Orleans but was Anthony Davis worth it? Is Anthony Davis elite or just very good?
Well I’m in the minority when it comes to Davis; yes he is an amazing once in a generation elite talent but is he championship material? The track record says no, of course playing for the pelicans doesn’t show or tell much but Davis hasn’t shown much to prove other wise either.
Davis’ injury history doesn’t help either as “Availability is the best ability” matters when it comes to elite talent as well as championship material. Also Davis’ leadership and intangibles just do not lead me to believe he can lead a team to a title despite his unreal talents. This season will decide if he is just exceptionally talented or legit championship material so I guess will wait until April, May and June to see if he is legit or not.
