By A belated happy new year everyone! With New Year and decade upon us everyone usually has resolutions so why share what I would like to see happen for the remaining part of this season.
Ben Simmons shoots more: Now I know this is an ongoing situation with Ben Simmons shooting but expect Simmons to finally be confident enough to take any shot outside of the paint.
Simmons has the ability to do so but either doesn’t have the confidence or doesn’t feel it’s needed when it’s desperately needed for the 76ers and Simmons potential value in the future. Simply the 76ers can’t make it to the finals unless Ben Simmons SHOOTS THE BASKETBALL!
Michael Porter Jr: Although he has had a few games of promise, Michael Porter Jr can be the explosive X factor that the Nuggets need to be legitimate playoff contenders and for MPJ this is exciting because he has the potential to be another Kevin Durant if he stays healthy.
Giannis signs his extension: As a fan of Giannis Antetokounmpo since day 1 I want Giannis to upset the order of the basketball world and resigns with the Bucks to put the rumors and chaos to rest.
Also if Giannis does this hopefully it leads to other players being a bit more loyal as well as brings some star players back to the eastern conference.
Surprise Mega Trades: So there are some teams with some unhappy star players. So here’s my idea of a couple possible mega trades involving the Timberwolves, Warriors, Cavaliers, Celtics and Pistons.
The 1st trade idea involves the Warriors and Timberwolves. Warriors trade D’Angelo Russell to the Timberwolves for Robert Covington and Gorgui Dieng plus a 1st round draft pick pairing star center Karl Anthony Towns with one of his buddies in Russell.
The 2nd trade idea involves the Cavaliers, Celtics and Pistons. The Cavaliers trade Kevin Love to the Celtics, the Celtics trade Gordon Hayward to the Pistons and the Pistons trade Andre Drummond to the Cavaliers in exchange for John Henson, Tristian Thompson and 1st round draft pick.
Hopefully some of these resolutions come true at this point of the season.
